The Watering Bowl

The Watering Bowl Website Screen Shot

OVERVIEW

The Watering Bowl Daycare and Boarding was looking to update their website with their newly created branding and allow them to easily manage the content.

DETAILS

Working close with Copywriter/Creative Director Jake Edinger and Art Director Ahab Nimry, we helped The Watering Bowl update their website with their newly created branding.  WordPress was the preferred CMS.  We wanted it to be easy enough for anyone at The Water Bowl to edit or add new content.  I also provided the web hosting for the new site.

OVERVIEW

Moonrise Hotel was recently awarded the AAA 4 Diamond Award. Moonrise wanted to update their site to better showcase why they won the award in the first place. The focus was shifted from heavy copy to large photography. The interface was simplified and made easy to navigate. Moonrise also wanted to manage their site with ease.

DETAILS

Working with Art Director Ashley Lapoint, at Hoffman Lewis we took moonrisehotel.com up to the level of other Four Diamond luxury hotel websites.  This site  features elegant transitions and a fullscreen background slider all easily managed in the backend.  Even though the new site is using some of the latest and greatest CSS, HTML and Javascript, it gracefully degrades down to IE7.

OVERVIEW

CPC Logistics was in need of a major overhaul of the current website.  They were looking for a CMS driven site to manage on their own with little to no training.  The site contains a lot of dynamic data however it is incredibly easy to use.

St. Louis Blues Pocket Schedule

St. Louis Blues - Mobile Pocket Schedule

OVERVIEW

The Saint Louis Blues Pocket Schedule is normally a small folded up piece of paper that you can pick up around town and keep in your back pocket.  Since the paper schedule is usually lost or washed with in a few days we thought it might make sense to bring it to life converting it into a digital mobile website.  I was given just a couple days to get it going.

DETAILS

Because of the quick turnaround I choose the easy to use framework  jQuery Mobile.  This allowed fast production and easy coloring by creating a jQuery Mobile Swatch.  Since jQuery Mobile is still in beta I ran into a few hiccups but got through them quickly.  I look forward to the full version of jQuery Mobile and also learning other frameworks such as Sencha Touch.

I recommend pulling this up on your mobile device of course. =)

OVERVIEW

This website is part of a campaign for the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission to promote St. Louis as the place to have your company or organization’s events.  The campaign used mass transit takeovers, in-person appearances, e-blasts, posters and more.  These ads were responsible for driving meeting planning attendees to the Guru’s website.

DETAILS

Working close with Art Director Jon Hansen, at Hoffman Lewis, I helped bring his creation to life on the web using only HTML, CSS, jQuery and a small amount of PHP.  I was also responsible for creating a mobile version of this site.

OVERVIEW

I took the original static McDonald’s Fast Friendly League website and made it fully CMS driven allowing anyone to manage it.

DETAILS

The original static site took a Hoffman Lewis employee over 2 hours to add new scores each week.  I found this to be one of the biggest issues and could be solved by having the server do all the number crunching.  I worked close with a freelancer who produced an excel uploader which also does all the math needed to get the final results.  Now the stats take less than a couple mins to upload which saves the company many hours over the life of this website.

Please note:  some pages on this site have information not available to the general public and are password protected.

McDonald’s Oatmeal

Sorry but you need Flash Player in order to view this interactive web banner

OVERVIEW

I was given the chance to build a fully interactive game in a banner ad.  With the arrival of McDonald’s new oatmeal menu item Hoffman Lewis came up with the idea to create a game  similar to Tetris or Bejeweled.  This was a very fun project to work on.  Oh and did I mention this banner is only 40K.

Holiday Sock Hop Game

Holiday Sock Hop

OVERVIEW

Provide the St. Louis CVC with a fun interactive holiday e-card.  This was one of the most excited projects I got to work on at Hoffman Lewis in 2010.  The client loved it and we all had fun playing.  Try it yourself.
