Interactive Display Window from Marcus Wallander on Vimeo.
Thank you Atomicdust for tweeting this link today. Watching this video was inspiring and got my wheels turning. This… is interactive. This is something I want to do here in St. Louis. Who’s in?

OVERVIEW
The Missouri Division of Tourism holds an annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism every year here in St. Louis.
State senators, city tourism officials, vendors, exchange ideas on how to boost travel to and within the state.
There’s a lot of time between events for standing around and making small talk. To facilitate people getting to know each other, this mobile web app (promoted via customized packs of gum) was put together full of random fun facts about Missouri.
DETAILS
This was my first stab at a website geared towards smart phones (specifically iPhones and Androids phones). The site was built using HTML5 along with CSS3 and jQuery. It features the latest technology in mobile development including device orientation. When the phone is turned the site loads a new css file which updates the display to best suit the current view (portrait or landscape).
I also built an admin section for this website which also targets mobile devices. For this I used a jQuery plugin called jQTouch. Unfortunately I cannot share this link.
Sorry but this site is no longer available to view.

OVERVIEW
Speakum is a VOIP program. I was asked to layout and produce a new interface design.
DETAILS
I was given the Speakum logo and the interface from a previous version of the software. I then designed a new “skin” which was put all together by the software engineers in the end.

OVERVIEW
I worked close with a creative agency to build this interactive Flash video wall. Currently it runs on an LCD touch screen at 3M’s Innovation Center which introduces visitors to the people of 3M. The center has hosted more than 14,000 visitors and 285 events the first year it opened.
DETAILS
The Face of Innovation application introduces you to randomly chosen people currently working at 3M. Both applications can be viewed in 8 different languages which can be changed on the fly.
